Overview

These Terms describe how LawSOS provides access to independent lawyer video consultations, chat and document sharing in Lithuania.

Service

LawSOS provides a technology platform for customers to request immediate or scheduled video consultations with independent lawyers. LawSOS is not a law firm and does not itself provide legal advice.

Independent lawyers and no outcome guarantee

• Legal advice is provided by the independent lawyer selected by the customer.
• The lawyer is responsible for their own professional advice, availability, qualifications and conduct.
• LawSOS does not guarantee a legal outcome, court result, administrative decision, fine cancellation, immigration result or any other result.
• Users are responsible for providing accurate and complete information. Incorrect or incomplete information may affect the advice received.
• For urgent danger, detention, police action, court deadlines or other emergencies, users should also contact the relevant official authority or emergency service.

Accounts

• Customers must provide accurate contact and account information.
• Lawyers must provide accurate professional profile and application information.
• Lawyer accounts may require admin approval before being visible to customers.
• Users are responsible for keeping passwords, PINs and devices secure.

Consultations

Customers choose a topic, lawyer and optional note. Lawyers may accept or reject requests. Payment is intended to start only after a lawyer accepts. Video calls may include chat, documents, manual screenshots and automatic evidence screenshots.

Chats, documents, manually shared screenshots and automatic evidence screenshots may be stored and reviewed by LawSOS for safety, support, fraud prevention, payment/refund checks and dispute handling.

Lawyers may create follow-up meeting proposals during a consultation. A follow-up may be free or paid depending on the price proposed by the lawyer and accepted by the customer.

Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe after a lawyer accepts a consultation request. Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by LawSOS.

The consultation fee is paid for the lawyer's time and availability. A refund is not automatically available because the advice was not useful, did not achieve the desired result, or the legal outcome was unfavorable.

Refunds may be reviewed for lawyer no-show, duplicate or incorrect charge, or a serious audio/video/platform failure that prevented the consultation from reasonably taking place. LawSOS may review system records, payment records, chat, shared files and evidence screenshots when deciding whether a refund or gift return is appropriate.

When a user continues to payment or uses a gift credit, the user requests immediate service performance and understands that withdrawal/refund rights may be limited once the consultation starts or is completed, except where required by law.

Free gift credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money and may be adjusted by LawSOS if issued in error or used contrary to these Terms.

Reservations and reminders

Scheduled consultations and follow-up meetings depend on both users joining at the planned time. LawSOS may send reminders before the reservation and a call-ready notification when payment/gift use is completed. If payment is not completed within the shown time window, the request may expire or close automatically.

Forum, reviews and moderation

Users may post forum replies, reports and reviews where enabled. LawSOS may remove, hide, edit, investigate or moderate user content, reports, ratings and reviews to protect users, prevent abuse and keep the service reliable.

Acceptable use

• Do not upload illegal, abusive, misleading or unrelated content.
• Do not impersonate another person or professional.
• Do not misuse emergency-style access for spam or harassment.

Availability

LawSOS aims to provide reliable access but cannot guarantee that a lawyer will always be available, that a call will be uninterrupted, or that network conditions will support video.
